At Burgundy Bespoke we aim to make beautiful bespoke jewellery accessible to everyone.

Our founder and award-winning master jeweller, Michael Dransfield, has over 40 years experience and knows the jewellery industry inside out. Michael started his career in 1975 as a 16 year old apprentice at Gem-D, a manufacturing jewellery company in Leeds, England.

After a lifetime in the industry, he’s built his extensive knowledge and an exceptional network that enables him to maximise any budget and form even the vaguest ideas into a dream piece that will be loved for a lifetime.

Michael meets with all of his clients at any location in South Queensland, making the process more convenient but also ensuring the surprise stays a surprise… nobody will be spotted in any jewellery stores! He provides example stones so his clients don’t buy blind, and since he has no set supply chain, can also source stones and materials that most high street jewellers can’t.

Whether you have a fully formed design in mind, an initial concept or have absolutely no idea where to start, Michael will help you to create something that symbolises your love story.

All of Burgundy Bespoke’s jewellery is handcrafted to the highest quality and designed to last a lifetime, and we guarantee our workmanship; if anything is wrong, we will fix or resize our rings free of charge.

Bronagh had a matching platinum wedding ring set with round brilliant cut diamonds. Michael “Ringman Wingman” Dransfield and the Burgundy Bespoke Jewellers are without a doubt phenomenal. Michael invested many an hour exploring my wants/wishes for my partner’s ring. He is honest and forward when something wasn’t going to work, or perhaps wouldn’t look as I had intended. He was able to clearly describe the pearls & pitfalls of designing a ring and all the nuances of how it would sit on the finger & impact its “wearability”. His turn around time was very fast (I’ve previously had jewellery made which took some time). Not that I’ll need another engagement ring, but I know where I’ll be going for any other jewellery, and who I’ll be recommending to those around me!

Michael was extremely helpful and patient throughout the whole process. As someone who had no prior knowledge of sapphires or other precious stones, Michael took the time to explain to me what to look out for in terms of carat weight, dimensions, clarity etc which allowed me to make an informed decision on the right stone. We looked at multiple stones before deciding on the right one and I never felt pressured by Michael to make a fast decision.
