Bespoke jewellery pricing at Burgundy Bespoke Jewellers is about guiding you step by step through diamonds, design, and craftsmanship so you get the right ring in the right setting for your budget without guessing or overpaying.
Stop guessing. Start saving. Get guided. When you meet with me, you’re not walking into a traditional jewellery shop or browsing a collection sitting in a cabinet. You’re working directly with me, Michael Dransfield, a master jeweller with over 50 years of experience in creating bespoke jewellery. My role is simple: help you understand your options, show you what represents real value, and make sure you choose a diamond and design you feel confident about for life.
Our Approach to Pricing: Honest, Considered, and Built Around You
I am not a traditional retail jeweller with a shop and stock to try on. I operate a we come to you jeweller model.
I offer in-person consultations in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast. If you are outside these areas, we can meet via Zoom anywhere in Australia. The experience is private, relaxed, and completely focused on you. If you are planning a surprise proposal, I can help keep the secret proposal a secret if we need to.
You meet with me personally. I guide you through every decision.
We do not carry a collection. We do not have a preset range. All engagement rings, wedding rings, diamond bands, necklaces, bracelets, or pairs of earrings are customer-led in design and handcrafted specifically for you. During your consultation, I can show you jewellery designs and discuss what works structurally and aesthetically, but we will make the design you want.
When it comes to diamonds, we look at stones on my online diamond platform. This platform connects directly to global diamond dealers and allows us to browse stones from under 1 carat to over 5 carats if required. I will typically show you three to five diamonds within your budget and explain clearly why one represents better value than another.
Natural diamonds and lab grown diamonds are generally certified by the GIA and IGI. I explain the differences between natural and lab grown, and help you choose what suits your priorities.
If you’re ready to stop guessing and start getting properly guided, book your free consultation and work directly with me, Michael Dransfield, your Ringman Wingman. I operate a genuine “we come to you” jeweller model, meeting clients in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast, or via Zoom anywhere else in Australia.
There is no traditional jewellery shop, no standing collection, and no stock to try on; every engagement ring, wedding band, and pair of rings, along with custom necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, is handcrafted to your design in gold, whether timeless white gold, warm yellow gold, or distinctive pink gold.
We will browse certified diamonds together on my online platform – and if a sapphire or another precious gemstone is right for you, we can source that too – ensuring your jewellery is created with care, clarity, and experience. I can even help with keeping the secret proposal a secret if we need to.
When you’re ready to add certainty and genuine expertise to your engagement or wedding journey, book your consultation and let’s create meaningful engagement rings, wedding rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, or other pieces of jewellery designed entirely around you.
Why Fine Bespoke Jewellery Costs What It Does
The main factors influencing cost include:
- Diamond or gemstone quality, including cut, clarity, colour, and carat weight
- Choice of metal such as platinum, yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, pink gold, or sterling silver
- Design complexity, including halo settings, multi-stone arrangements, cluster styles, and custom bands
- The time and expertise required to handcraft and finish the piece correctly
A brilliant round cut diamond will price differently from an oval, pear, marquise, emerald, princess, or heart cut stone. We can also source precious gemstones such as sapphire, emerald, amethyst, and tourmaline if you are designing something beyond a traditional engagement ring or wedding ring.
Because everything is handcrafted in Australia, you are investing in proper structure, secure stone setting, and balanced proportions designed for everyday wear. I will always advise you if a design idea may compromise durability or comfort. That experience is part of what protects your investment.
Fine bespoke jewellery reflects the quality of materials and the experience required to craft it properly. If you would like to understand exactly what influences the cost before you add anything to your plans, the best next step is to book a consultation with me personally.
Whether you are designing an engagement ring, a wedding ring, refining ideas for rings, or considering custom necklaces, bracelets, or earrings, I will guide you through how diamond or sapphire selection, structural design, and your choice of gold, such as classic yellow gold or distinctive pink gold, affect the final piece.
There is no retail jewellery shop model and no standing collection to choose from. Every piece of jewellery is individually designed and handcrafted with durability, balance, and everyday wear in mind. If you are ready to move forward with your engagement ring, wedding ring, or another bespoke project, book your consultation and let us create engagement rings and wedding rings or craft meaningful earrings, bracelets, or necklaces in yellow gold, white gold, or pink gold, made specifically for you.
Pricing with Purpose: Protecting Value, Quality, and Longevity
A traditional jewellery shop carries the costs of showrooms, inventory, staffing, and marketing. My model focuses your budget where it matters most.
Your investment is directed toward:
- Access to a global diamond network through my online diamond platform
- Certified stones that meet recognised grading standards
- Proper metal weight and structural integrity
- Personal guidance backed by over five decades of experience
Below is a simple comparison of how the experience differs.
| Aspect | Traditional Retail Jeweller | Burgundy Bespoke Jewellers |
|---|---|---|
| Stock | Pre-made rings to try on | No stock, every piece made for you |
| Diamond access | Limited to store inventory | Global online diamond platform |
| Guidance | Sales-driven | Direct guidance from Michael |
| Setting selection | Choose from available range | Designed specifically for your stone |
| Experience | Shop visit | We come to you or meet via Zoom |
This is why smart couples choose a guided, bespoke process. You are not buying a diamond and a setting separately. I make sure you get the right diamond in the perfect setting for your budget.
Pricing with purpose means your investment is directed into the substance of the piece rather than the overhead of a retail jewellery shop. Large showrooms and a ready-made collection require a significant margin before a customer even chooses their stone. My approach is different. Your budget is focused on the quality of the diamond or gemstone option, including emerald and sapphire, the right metal weight in yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, or pink gold, and the level of craftsmanship required to create enduring jewellery.
You are not paying for display cabinets or excess inventory. You are allocating funds toward access to a global diamond network, properly certified stones, and guidance built on more than five decades of experience. That experience ensures proportions, structure, and longevity are considered from the beginning, so your jewellery is made to last.
If you would like to add knowledge and clarity before committing, the next step is simple. Book a consultation and see how removing the traditional shop model and eliminating a standing collection allows you to invest in better stones, whether a diamond or sapphire, and beautifully balanced jewellery crafted in yellow, rose, white, or pink gold with long-term value in mind.
A Transparent Breakdown of What You’re Paying For
When you commission a bespoke jewellery piece, your investment covers the complete process from consultation to completion.
This includes diamond or gemstone sourcing, certification, metal selection, design development, stone setting, finishing, and final quality inspection. Bespoke engagement rings and wedding rings take approximately four weeks to finish from design approval.
If you are unsure of ring size and want to keep things discreet, we can send our free world-famous Multisizer to you so sizing can be done at home without raising suspicion.
I do not offer extended warranties. However, in the unlikely event of a manufacturing fault, I stand by my craftsmanship and will ensure it is put right.
The Three-Step Process
1. Book a free consultation and meet with me in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, or via Zoom anywhere in Australia.
2. Review three to five certified diamonds within your budget on my online diamond platform and finalise your custom design.
3. Your engagement ring, wedding ring, or other piece of jewellery is handcrafted, finished, inspected, and delivered, ready for your proposal or wedding day.
The process is guided, personal, and built around you.
When you commission a bespoke piece, you are investing in a complete process rather than purchasing from a traditional shop. Your investment covers certified diamond or gemstone sourcing, such as sapphire and emerald, metal selection including pink gold, precise stone setting, finishing, and final inspection. If you need discretion, I can send the free Multisizer so you can confirm sizing at home.
The next step is simple. Book your consultation, review certified stones with me online, and move confidently into production. My role is to add clarity and reassurance at every stage, ensuring your jewellery is created with care and delivered ready for your proposal or special occasion, without the overhead of a retail shop model.
Straightforward Pricing Answers – No Surprises, No Confusion
There are no preset price tiers because we do not operate like a traditional shop with a fixed collection. Pricing is shaped by the stone you select, whether that is a diamond or gemstones such as a sapphire, the metal you choose, including pink gold, and the craftsmanship required. During your consultation, I will outline these factors in plain terms so you can move forward with confidence.
Most importantly, there is no pushy sales approach. I am not here to sell what a shop happens to have. My role is to add experience, add objectivity, and provide straightforward advice so your final decision is informed, balanced, and right for you.
